Wonderful memories I'm glad you shared them. I love to browse through the seed catalogs during cold winter days-it helps push the cold away to know it won't be long before I'll be walking through the garden checking on the plants.

I see Glenda joined the group too. As a member of NETWEST she should have some great information to offer.

Hey-would it be appropriate if I help spread the word about this new group? I have some friends I think would be interested.

Lots of people want to be published authors, but not as many are willing to devote the long hours of solitary work that are necessary to complete a book or similar project. Are you one of them? This group is for writers and poets in Murphy, NC.

Good morning, Tipper.

I just now saw that we're under a winter advisory for this afternoon and evening. It looks like we may get some of that snow after all! I'll be watching for it.

All the best,

JD

I don't know, Tipper. it's cold enough to snow. It's just a matter of getting some moisture moving our way and we'll see it, too.

We can hope! (grin)

My husband is working out there-so he told me about the watch. Raleigh may get snow-and not us-that just doesn't seem right : ) I guess I'll just have to be jealous and keep my fingers crossed for next time.

Good morning, Tipper.

I hadn't heard about Asheville's winter storm watch, but I did see that Raleigh has one. It looks like it may go east of us. Since I no longer watch TV, I'm not up on weather and news like I used to be, but I don't miss it too much.

I'm with you on the snow. I'd love to see a big one - as long as the power doesn't go out!

When I was younger, I'd drive a long ways to find snow to play in, but these days, the cold makes me ache. I'm starting to sound like an old grandpa! (grin)

I still love to watch it snow and I love the beauty of a fresh blanket of white on everything, but I don't go out and play in it.

All the best,

JD

Good afternoon, Tipper.

I just wanted to take a moment and tell you that I think it was a very thoughtful thing you did on your blog when you thanked everyone who made a comment in November. That must have taken some time to do. I think it shows that you really care about what you're writing about and all the people who are regular readers.

Good for you.

Hi Tipper,
Thanks for the 2 suggestions!! I've actually talked with one of the teachers, and I plan on stopping by the Learning Center once my schedule becomes a bit more predictable. I don't to say I'll volunteer, and then end up having to miss days. And the contra dancing sounds fun, too. I'm a part of a line dance group in Woodstock, which I dearly love, and when we make the permanent move to Murphy I'll need a dancing outlet!!!
Again, thank you for these suggestions. I truely appreciate them.

Hi Tipper - Thanks for the friend request! I took a look at ur website. It's great - I'm going to sit down with it tonight and do some reading! :) But of course, when I went to the website I noticed Flickr and HAD to go there! I love photography. It looks like you do - you'll have to join our photography group on here. What type camera do you have?
