Hey Deborah. It's good that you got everything you wanted this morning. Was it crowded?

Good morning, Murphy! I'm starting my day with a cup of double-rich hot chocolate and the warmth of the cup feels good to my chilly fingers! So, today is black Friday. Are you out shopping before dawn or snuggled warmly in your bed? No shoppin...

Good afternoon, Lynn. I don't know the answer to your question. I'm one of those people who likes to sleep in while others are out shopping early in the morning after Thanksgiving. (grin) If any of the other local businesses are having Black Fri...

I am thankful for being able to live here in Murphy

Good afternoon.

Yesterday, I spent almost all day in town, talking to business owners I already knew, meeting new ones, and spreading the word about Murphy Connections and Murphy Gold.

As the day progressed, I was reminded, all over again, how much I love living here and how much I appreciate the people who have lived here all their lives and others, like me, who have chosen to move here.

Murphy isn't perfect, but it's the best place I've ever lived.

Have you ever noticed how clean the town… Continue

Thank you, veterans

Today is a national holiday for celebrating the end of World War I, and which later became a holiday to celebrate veterans of all US wars.

To some it may sound trite, but to others it is a deeply held, heartfelt bit of wisdom: Freedom isn't free.

For every war that the United States has fought, there have been thousands or even millions of our neighbors, friends, and family slogging in the mud, freezing in the cold, burning in the heat, and being exposed to things and events that nobody wants… Continue

Happy birthday, Mom. I miss you.

This has been an emotional day for me. It's Mom's first birthday since she died almost a year ago. I didn't want to be alone in the house, so I left early this morning and was gone all day.

I tried to keep my mind off of this and not dwell on it, but whenever I was driving, I would return to memories of her. I thought of her when I was young and she was so active and friendly. I thought of her after she moved to Murphy and she and Dad loved living here and met great friends. Then, without warni… Continue

Hi John..we just made it back a coupe of hours ago and thoroughly enjoyed you and Dena at breakfast. We both loved the Blue Mountain Grill and the conversation as well. We also hit a couple of other places you and Dena suggested which were just as good. But I think my husband Gary liked the Great American Burger the best.....taste and price. We looked at so many houses and have settled on 3 to choose from. We will be citizens of Murphy soon. Looking forward to my new home in Murphy........carol
