We move in our log home Christmas day of 1999. What a blessing! But the way we got there didn't seem like it at the time....In September we were flooded when Floyd blew through and left 13 feet of water in our house. Needless to say, we moved, but had no idea where we would end up. To make a very long story short, we found our log home and it not only turned into a lifestyle, but also our livelyhood. Restoring our log home led to starting Taskmasters Wood Maintence. When we have that cup of coffee, I will ..Like Paul Harvey would say, tell you the rest of the story.

I have always been attracted to log cabins and larger log homes.
In fact, although you can't tell it by looking, the house I live in now started out as a one-room log cabin that has grown over the years as more rooms were added and the exterior was changed.
I've always wanted to build a nice log house, but it hasn't worked out yet.
What about you?
Doug Johnson suggested I start this group and I like the suggestion. Here it is.
