Actually it's not hard at all and the meat is so tender and tasty. I'll ask my husband to give me his recipe and I'll post it. He does the canning for all the meat lol...

Good afternoon, Tipper.

It wasn't funny at the time! (grin)

I just followed the link from your blog and saw the photo of your husband with his buck:

Matt got the Job Done

Yes, he did.

John-funny story ; ) My husband has been run up a tree more than once by wild hogs. Seems they are taking over the woods every where.

Sherry-neat that you can the meat. We always freeze ours-but I've always wanted to try canning it. Is it hard?

Good afternoon, Sherry.

Congratulations on your husband's success this year! It sounds like you're going to have some good meals in the coming months.

I remember one day, many years ago when I was younger and much more spry, I was bowhunting for wild boar in Tennessee and even with two good hits, that rascal ran me up a tree. You can tell just by looking at me that I'm neither a runner or climber, but I climbed a tree that day. It took three more arrows before I could come down. It was the last day I tried bowhunting for wild boar!

All the best,

JD

Good morning!

I want to congratulate my grandson, Dakota, for bagging this fine buck this year.

It looks like someone is going to have venison for Thanksgiving.
